Motion made to approve Oct minutes made by Jess, 2nd by Mellissa. All in favor motion passed.
Approval of treasurer report for Oct
Motion made by Jessica 2nd by Brittany Hughes to approve Treasure report, all in favor motion passed.
Old Business
1. Update on Gun Bash tickets – Nov 18th American Legion
Brittany said made $5,155.25 minus the food. Mellissa said we only made $700 on games. Jess said when she was there Gwen told her we pulled in $10,000. Jessica said the games were not expensive so that doesn’t make any sense.
$3,901. 04 This was after the guns were paid for. 50 /50 $182.00 6 gun table tickets $155 on 1`,
$150 on 1, $50 on one, 250 tickets sold but only $500 revenue. Games $788.00 minus beer cost $266.00 – minus game cost $393.50
Brittany said she asked John about the beer amount being taken out twice, and why was one game profit only $25.00 Discussion was made on the gun bash final results. Jess said she will try to get a breakdown of the games and costs.
2. Update on Christmas lights & trees being made.
Mellissa said Gary is making them. Jess said he made 3 trees because he is having surgery on his knee. Gary knows the lights are here. We just need to put the lights on them.
Brittany wanted to know when we should decorate the park. Mellissa says her gut feeling is we should not wait until December to decorate. We should try for Nov 30th.
Brittany asked about the candy canes. Are the boro workers going to put up the candy canes? Jess said they were told to but as to when not sure. Mellissa said she will try to talk to Gary tomorrow.
3. Decision on playground.
Let’s put on hold until December meeting. Not putting up until spring anyway.
7. Update on ornament sales.
Mellissa said they are slow. Went on the back burner until after the sub sale and gun bash.
Mellissa said the sub sales are not as good as the last time.
8. Update on beef sticks.
Legion still selling. We have approx. 230 left to sell. We are all profit at this time.
9. Christmas theme for Dec 6th.
Time is 5 to 7 PM
We will probably turn on a regular Christmas movie and have it playing. The movie is the Grinch.
Has anyone talked to Dave Shetler to be Santa again this year?
We do have hot chocolate and coffee. Will also be activities for the kids to do? Sue said she has Christmas ducks. Mellissa said Hanna will wear the Grinch costume.
Mellissa said she has not heard from the fire dept. to use the hall. Will try to contact Lee Barbus on this.
10. Sub sales
Mellissa said she is handling that.
11. Mail box for Santa
Mellissa said the box is out and she has all the Christmas letters to write back.
Jess said you should have the stamps, envelopes, and blank letters for mailing back are all in the folder.
No other old Business.
Mellissa said she wants to get approval for events next year.
She would like to look in February at the Legion. They get the profit on alcohol we get funds on ticket sales. February comedy night.
Mellissa motions to do comedy night in February, 2nd by Jess, all in favor motion passed.
Jess to ask VFW to do comedy night there rather than at Legion.
May do dusty in May – Theme take me out to the ball game and have the parrot come.
If we sold a ticket to go off that day, food be popcorn peanuts,

Refer to science center portable science center – 30 people per session have 2 sessions.
Each session is 45 minutes. Portable planetarium to go inside.
The zoo we are allowed to pick the animals. Have zoo and science center both in July
Brickfest Aug 8th.
Do we want 2 bands in august or 1? Then we go with Stacy and the Rejects and have only the one band. Discussion made to make shorter time frame.
Mellissa to call Ravenswood to get them on the schedule.
Mellissa said she would like to ask Indiana for their $1,000 donation.
Let’s bring 1 band in for 3 hours.
Sept 12th the movie. Let’s try to do a band and movie the same day. Possible polka band.
Oct – fall fun day- weekend in October 17th
Dec for 5th for Santa day.
IN April do either a basket party for the Cemetery or do a ticket for them since they allow us to use their SGOC license.
Mellissa said she has also handed out vendor application for Brickfest already. Several people have already said they would come.
We can try to have a craft show at the fire dept. in April. We can then do food also.
Do we want to do anything in April? Easter is the 5th.
Mellissa says she will come up with dates, send out a test and go from there.
Are we ok with me investigating the science center? Yes was the response.
The other thing, I investigated on line possibly a magician in March. Magician is for all ages.
Motion made to purchase salsa for events. Let’s do 15 each made by Mellissa, 2nd by Jessica, all in favor motion passed.
Mellissa asked Jess about a ticket for the Cemetery to go off over Memorial Day. 4 day event. $10 ticket. 1 roll 20’s 1 roll 10 1 roll $5.
